Colorize Image

This project is very close to the idea of painting directly on a black and white photo. Using color masks, hue & saturation, and gradient maps I colorized the photo while keeping it looking realistic.
The selected colors used where based on primarily a mix of contemporary and modern sources for major components, with some artist interpretation for details like the barrels & plane colors.
